Investment Diversification

In structuring the investment program, the Investment Sub-Committee has established two Pools, an Equity Pool and a Fixed Income Pool. Both of these pools are well diversified with a number of investment styles and vehicles.

The current allocation of the fund’s assets is 65% Equity and 35% Fixed Income. However, individual parishes or donors have the ability to establish their own asset allocation, which may range fro 100% fixed income and no stock exposure to 100% stock exposure and no fixed income, in order to best align their portfolios with their specific investment objectives and risk preferences.

In determining an asset allocation for the Equity and Fixed Income pools, as well as in choosing specific investment vehicles and monitoring their performance, the Investment Sub Committee is assisted by the investment consultant for the Foundation, IPEX, which meets with the Investment Sub Committee on a regular basis. IPEX is an independent firm, not affiliated with any bank, brokerage firm, or money management organization and therefore is in a position to provide the Investment Sub Committee with objective and unbiased recommendations. IPEX works primarily with various not-for-profit institutions, including endowments, foundations, and religious organizations
