What is The Catholic Foundation?
The Catholic Foundation was established August 17, 2000, to provide a solid financial future for the advancement of the ministries offered through the diocese and for other religious, charitable and educational purposes. A Board of Directors administers the Foundation.
Our mission is to financially support the spiritual, educational and social needs of our Catholic community.
We fulfill this mission by:
- seeking endowment funds that support our mission
- helping donors achieve their charitable and financial goals
- helping parishes, schools, and Catholic organizations meet their long-term financial needs
- providing responsible and effective financial management
- distributing earnings according to community priorities and donor intent
Our Catholic communities have recieved more than $824,000 in grants through The Catholic Foundation.
The Catholic Foundation currently manages endowment assets in excess of $15 million. In addition to “Living the Promise” Endowment funds, donors to the Foundation can choose among a number of fund options to benefit their favorite charities.
They include donor advised funds and designated beneficiary funds. In addition, the Foundation offers life-income arrangements via charitable gift annuities, deferred charitable gift annuities, and charitable remainder trusts.
